Our mission is to Create A World Free of MS. We want to Stop MS in its tracks, Restore what has been lost and End MS forever!
We hope one day no one will ever hear the words "you have MS." Multiple Sclerosis is a chronic disease for which there is no cure, striking most often between the ages of 20 and 50. It affects twice as many women as men, and approximately 1 in 300 Idahoans. With its unpredictable course, it can affect you physically and mentally, and symptoms may vary from day to day- from numbness and tingling to loss of vision to cognitive issues to limiting mobility. The cost of living with the disease is estimated at $69,000 per year.
In the last year we were honored to assist a variety of people living with MS, from helping a single mother find new employment to helping an elderly homebound person rediscover his independence to introducing a young student to the great pediatric resources available in our chapter. We also cheered the exciting release of a new oral therapy just last month!
Your generous gift funds new research to bring about effective treatments, along with other ways to improve the lives of people living with MS - advocacy, financial assistance, self-help groups, exercise and education classes, scholarships, information and referral and so much more.
Please celebrate this work and the progress being made by donating.
