A project of IDAHO FISH & WILDLIFE FOUNDATION
Morrison Knudsen Nature Center, Boise, Idaho
The MK Nature Center is truly an extraordinary place.
We provide visitors with meaningful, nature-based experiences in the heart of Idaho’s capital city. We fill a unique and valuable niche in our community.
The value of the human-nature connection has become increasingly evident. We now
know that nature is essential to healthy human development.
Community support is vital to our ability to continue to provide and enhance opportunities for these connections.
We provide opportunities for a wide variety of nature enthusiasts, including:
Nearly 10,000 students, teachers, and parents schedule one our many formal education programs, and about 5,000 more come for one of several public events we host
throughout the year.
Many of the site enhancements and special projects would not be possible without funding outside of our operating budget. Supporter funded projects include the Alpine Lake Mural, our new Visitor Center roof, and the bike shed roof top garden to name a few.
The MK Nature Center staff is dedicated and inspired, but your support ensures that our work will continue to the benefit of future generations.
